DaySmart Vet is one of the few vendors in this category that publishes what it charges and includes migration. The comparison comes down to what each plan covers and which market each is priced for.
More than 400 veterinarians choose Veterian. We'd love to see you among them.

Every DaySmart Vet entry below is taken from DaySmart Vet’s own published pages and linked underneath, with the date we read it. Where a capability is not documented publicly, the table says so rather than assuming it is missing. A cross in the DaySmart Vet column appears only where DaySmart Vet states the answer on the page the footnote links to.

20 of 30 rows have a published DaySmart Vet source.
DaySmart Vet publishes plans starting at $123 a month and says on the same page that there are no hidden fees, that data migration is free and that support runs 24/7. Most of the vendors in this cluster publish none of that, so it is worth saying plainly: on transparency they are at the front of the category, not the back.
Veterian publishes €29, €59 and €89 a month, two months free on annual billing, a 14-day trial that asks for no payment details, and free migration on every plan. Both of us can be checked in one click, which is the comparison we would rather have than one where the other column is blank.
Their figure is a US dollar starting price for a US-focused product; ours is a euro price per practice for a European one. Currency is the smaller half of that — what each plan includes, how users are counted and which add-ons sit outside the line are what actually decide the bill.
So the table above compares whether a price is published rather than whose is lower. "We cost less" is the most perishable claim on a page like this and the easiest to make misleading without meaning to. Take both plan pages, price them for your own headcount, and the answer will be more useful than anything we could write here.
Multi-location. Their home page is built around nine practice types with multi-location among them, and they document records and performance visibility across every site. Veterian's multi-branch management is on the Enterprise plan at custom pricing, so if you run several clinics today the table above gives them that row and we would rather you saw it here than found it later.
Support hours too. They publish 24/7 chat, email and phone; our live chat is not round the clock. And their integration count is higher than ours. None of that is a reason to skip the trial, but it is the honest shape of the comparison.
AI note-taking is in the Veterian plan rather than beside it. Their pricing page describes Daisy Voice as an add-on to the plan; our dictation and SOAP drafting is included, and the vet reviews and edits every note before it is saved either way.
The other difference is who each is built for. DaySmart Vet spans equine, mobile, shelter, specialty and emergency practice alongside small animal. Veterian is general practice software for a European clinic, with e-invoice and e-archive integration and WhatsApp built in because that is what our market runs on. If your practice is one of theirs and not one of ours, that matters more than any row in the table.
Less than usual, on features. Both are cloud platforms covering scheduling, records, payments, stock, reporting and client messaging, both publish a price and both include migration, so this is the closest table in the cluster.
The differences are market and packaging. Veterian is priced in euros per practice with e-invoice integration and WhatsApp for the market it serves; DaySmart Vet is a US product spanning nine practice types, with AI note-taking sold as an add-on. Every entry in their column links to the page it was read on.

This comparison reflects information published by each vendor on its own website, read on the dates given beside each source and reviewed on 10 September 2026. Vendors change their products and their documentation without notice, so entries may be out of date. Where a vendor does not publish information about a capability we record it as “Not published”; we do not treat silence as evidence that a capability is absent.
If you believe an entry misrepresents your product, write to support@veterian.com and we will correct it.
