Terms of Use

Welcome to Veterian Software ("Veterian"). These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Veterian's veterinary practice management software and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using Veterian, you confirm that you are a licensed veterinary professional or authorized representative of a veterinary clinic, and you accept these Terms in full. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
Veterian provides cloud-based practice management software designed for veterinary clinics, including but not limited to:
- Client and pet management
- Appointment scheduling
- Medical records and treatment plans
- Vaccination calendar and tracking
- Inventory and stock management
- Invoicing and payment processing
- Automated notifications via SMS, email, and mobile app
- Mobile application for pet owners
3. Account Registration and Security
3.1 Account Creation
To use the Service, you must create an account by providing accurate, complete, and current information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
3.2 Verification
Veterian reserves the right to verify your credentials and may request documentation confirming your veterinary clinic's legitimacy. We may suspend or terminate accounts that cannot be verified.
3.3 Account Security
You agree to immediately notify Veterian of any unauthorized use of your account or any other breach of security. Veterian will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to comply with this security obligation.
4. Free Trial Period
Veterian offers a 14-day free trial period for new accounts. During this period, you may use the Service without charge. No credit card or payment information is required to start the trial. After the trial period ends, you must subscribe to a paid plan to continue using the Service.
5. Subscription and Payment
5.1 Subscription Plans
Following the free trial, you may choose from available subscription plans (monthly or annual). All fees are exclusive of applicable taxes unless otherwise stated.
5.2 Payment Terms
Subscription fees are billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly or annually). You authorize Veterian to charge your provided payment method for all fees. All fees are non-refundable except as required by law or as explicitly stated in these Terms.
5.3 Price Changes
Veterian reserves the right to modify subscription fees with at least 30 days' advance notice. Continued use of the Service after the price change constitutes your acceptance of the new pricing.
5.4 Auto-Renewal and Cancellation
Subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each billing cycle unless cancelled. You can cancel at any time from the Service's billing/settings page; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and your access will continue until then.
5.5 Refunds
Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable and there are no refunds or credits for partial billing periods or unused Services following cancellation.
5.6 Taxes
Fees exclude taxes, levies, and duties. You are responsible for all applicable taxes, and where required, we may charge such taxes using your payment method.
6. User Responsibilities
You agree to:
- Use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date information in your account
- Comply with all applicable laws, including data protection and privacy regulations
- Not share your account credentials with unauthorized users
- Not use the Service to transmit any harmful, offensive, or illegal content
- Not attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or related systems
- Not reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
7. Data and Privacy
7.1 Your Data
You retain all rights to the data you input into the Service, including client information, pet records, medical data, and business information ("Your Data"). Veterian claims no ownership rights over Your Data.
7.2 Data Processing
By using the Service, you grant Veterian the right to collect, store, process, and use Your Data solely for the purpose of providing and improving the Service. Veterian will handle Your Data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
7.3 Data Security
Veterian implements industry-standard security measures to protect Your Data. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect Your Data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7.4 Data Backup and Export
Veterian performs regular backups of Your Data. You may export Your Data at any time through the Service's export features.
7.5 GDPR and Data Protection Compliance
Veterian complies with applicable data protection laws, including GDPR where applicable. You are responsible for ensuring your use of the Service complies with all applicable laws regarding the collection and processing of personal data from your clients.
7.6 Roles of Controller and Processor
For data about your account and billing, Veterian acts as a data controller. For client and patient data that you enter into the Service, you are the data controller and Veterian acts as a data processor, processing such data only on your instructions. See our Privacy Policy for details.
8. Intellectual Property Rights
8.1 Veterian's IP
The Service, including its software, design, text, graphics, and other content, is owned by Veterian and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the Service without our express written permission.
8.2 Trademarks
Veterian and the Veterian logo are trademarks of Veterian. You may not use these trademarks without our prior written consent.
9. Service Availability
Veterian strives to provide uninterrupted access to the Service. However, we do not guarantee that the Service will be available at all times or free from errors. We may suspend or restrict access to the Service for maintenance, updates, or other reasons, with or without notice. Where practicable, scheduled maintenance will be announced in advance.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- Veterian provides the Service "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied
- Veterian shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service
- Veterian's total liability for any claims arising from the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to Veterian in the 12 months preceding the claim
- Veterian is not responsible for any loss of data, business interruption, or other damages resulting from your use of the Service
11. Professional Responsibility
Veterian is a tool to assist veterinary professionals in managing their practice. You remain solely responsible for:
- All medical decisions and treatment plans
- Compliance with veterinary standards and regulations
- The accuracy of information entered into the Service
- Your professional conduct and client relationships
Veterian does not provide medical advice or veterinary services.
12. Third-Party Services
The Service may integrate with or contain links to third-party services (e.g., payment processors, SMS providers). Veterian is not responsible for these third-party services, and your use of them is subject to their respective terms and conditions.
13. Termination
13.1 Termination by You
You may terminate your account at any time through the Service settings or by contacting our support team.
13.2 Termination by Veterian
Veterian may suspend or terminate your access to the Service immediately, without prior notice, if you:
- Violate these Terms
- Fail to pay subscription fees when due
- Engage in fraudulent or illegal activities
- Abuse or misuse the Service
13.3 Effect of Termination
Upon termination, your right to access and use the Service will immediately cease. You will have 30 days to export Your Data before it is permanently deleted from our systems.
14. Modifications to the Service and Terms
Veterian reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (or any part thereof) at any time. We may also update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or through the Service. Your continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
15. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Veterian, its officers, directors, employees, and agents harmless from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from:
- Your use of the Service
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of any rights of another party
- Your violation of any applicable laws or regulations
16. Confidentiality
You acknowledge that the Service may contain proprietary and confidential information. You agree not to disclose any confidential information to third parties and to use such information only as permitted under these Terms.
17. Communications
By using the Service, you consent to receive electronic communications from Veterian, including emails about your account, service updates, and promotional messages. You may opt out of promotional communications at any time.
18. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Turkey. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved in the courts of Izmir, Turkey.
19. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
20. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Veterian regarding the Service and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
21. No Waiver
Veterian's failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision.
22. Assignment
You may not assign or transfer these Terms or your rights hereunder without Veterian's prior written consent. Veterian may assign these Terms without restriction.
