Yes, for dictation and SOAP note drafting, and it is part of the plan rather than a per-seat add-on. A vet talks through the exam and Veterian produces a structured note to review. It assists with writing records, not with diagnosis. The vet reviews and edits every note before it is saved and stays the author of what goes into the patient's history.

How does migration from Provet work?

You send us your export files or access details, we analyse the data and plan the field mapping, we transfer patient records, client balances, vaccination history and stock, and we verify it with you before you go live. It is free on every plan. Provet also migrates in-house; they do not publish a price for it, so ask them what yours would cost before you compare.

Who should stay with Provet?

Practices whose headcount suits their model. Provet bills per veterinarian and includes non-vet staff at no charge, so a single-vet practice with a large nursing and reception team pays for one vet. Provet is one of two vendors on these pages that publishes what it costs without a sales call, so this comparison can be made on figures rather than on impressions. They price by region: in US dollars, Core is $99 per veterinarian per month plus a $249 monthly platform fee and Pro is $129 plus $299; in sterling, Core is £99 per veterinarian and Pro £119, with their own platform fees. Non-vet staff are included at no charge, and their AI scribe is a $40 per-user add-on. All of that is on their pricing page, linked in the table.

Veterian is €29, €59 and €89 a month, two months free on annual billing, taxes shown separately. We are not going to tell you which is better value for your practice, because it depends entirely on how many vets you have and how many of them want the scribe. Both sets of numbers are published; work it out for your own clinic.

AI dictation is in the plan, not a per-seat line

Provet charges $40 per user per month for its AI scribe on top of the plan. In Veterian, AI-assisted dictation and SOAP note drafting are part of what you already pay for.

The distinction matters most in a practice where several vets would use it. A scribe billed per seat is a decision you have to make about each vet individually; one included in the plan is a tool the whole team either uses or does not.
