Veterian and ezyVet side by side

Every ezyVet entry below is taken from ezyVet’s own published pages and linked underneath, with the date we read it. Where a capability is not documented publicly, the table says so rather than assuming it is missing. A cross in the ezyVet column appears only where ezyVet states the answer on the page the footnote links to.

Why practices choose Veterian over ezyVet

ezyVet tells you the starting price. It does not tell you the whole cost.

Their pricing page says ezyVet starts at $260.50 a month, which is more transparency than most of this category offers. It also says implementation and data-conversion fees are "scoped based on the size and structure of your clinic", and that the contract runs a six-month initial term followed by three-month rolling periods.

Veterian is €29, €59 or €89 a month with two months free on annual billing, migration included at no charge, and no minimum term to work around. The plan price is the price.

The IDEXX question

ezyVet is owned by IDEXX and its pricing page leads with IDEXX diagnostics among what you get. That is worth knowing before you choose, because it is a structural fact about the product rather than a feature you can switch off.

It cuts both ways. Some practices want their practice software and their diagnostics from the same supplier; others would rather the two decisions stayed separate. Neither answer is wrong, but it is a decision rather than a detail.

Seventy-six reports, or the handful you act on

ezyVet publishes 76 reports. Veterian reports on day summary, income and expense, profit and loss, invoices and sales, new and returning clients, vaccine status and stock movements, on one dashboard.

More reports is not automatically better. If reporting is something the owner does on a Sunday evening, a short list you actually read beats a catalogue you never open.

Migration you are not billed for

We move your data free, on any plan, from any system: patient records, client balances, vaccination history and stock, checked with you before handover.

That is the difference we would point at first. A conversion fee scoped to the size of your clinic is a number you cannot know until you ask, and it grows with exactly the thing that makes leaving hard — how much history you have.

Frequently asked questions

Commercially, mostly. ezyVet publishes a $260.50 starting price with implementation fees quoted separately and a six-month initial term; Veterian is €29 to €89 a month with migration free and no minimum term.

On features the table above is the answer, with each ezyVet cell linked to their own page so you can check every line yourself.

Trademarks and methodology

ezyVet and all associated names, marks and logos are the property of their respective owners. Veterian is not affiliated with, authorised by, sponsored by or endorsed by them, and their marks are used here only to identify the products being compared.

These pages are published for veterinary practices in English-speaking markets.

This comparison reflects information published by each vendor on its own website, read on the dates given beside each source and reviewed on 9 September 2026. Vendors change their products and their documentation without notice, so entries may be out of date. Where a vendor does not publish information about a capability we record it as “Not published”; we do not treat silence as evidence that a capability is absent.

If you believe an entry misrepresents your product, write to support@veterian.com and we will correct it.
